May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia and the UNSW ALLY Network is setting out to challenge students and staff to combat homophobia and make the pledge to become ALLIES of our LGBTQI community members.
The ALLY network actively supports the human rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning heterosexuals and Intersex people.
We will be holding an information stall and recreating a SEA of HEARTS with jugglers performing on the library lawn.
Streets Golden GAYTIMES are available to all who make the pledge to become an ALLY on the day!

Two free ALLY training days are coming up
Wednesday 23 May and 13 June
ALLY training provides a whole day of free training around the issues that impact on LGBTQI community members and to create understanding and awareness of the issues experienced by people identifying as Lesbian gay Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning or Intersex. ALLIES volunteer to undertake their role with the knowledge that they're making UNSW a better place to study and work for everybody.
ALLIES provide a safe place for LGBTQI students and staff by having access to appropriate resources and referral information. A trained ALLY can be found wherever the ALLY@UNSW logo is displayed in a work area.
If you would like to become an ALLY@UNSW please sign up for one of our training days.
For more Information contact Clare Ellis c.ellis@unsw or Penny Pitcairn p.pitcairn@unsw.edu.au.
